The New EU Regulations: Measuring EEI (Energy Efficiency Index)

The new EU regulations (EU No 1194/2012) require that directional lamps are measured in a 90° or 120° cone. Meaning that only light illuminated inside the cone is calculating efficiently the luminous flux. This measurement is used to calculate the new EEI (Energy Efficiency Index), which must be below certain value for the light source to be approved for the European market. With the LightSpion measurement system is now easy to use and calculate accurately the EEI index. These measurements can be done in a few second and it will verify future certification for the European market.
