BLUE LIGHT HAZARD…GLARE…LAUNCHING LUMINANCE/RADIANCE CAMERA. We’ve been looking forward to this moment for so long: We’re launching LightCam, a camera add-on for our sensors that enables lots of exciting stuff:
🎦 It provides completely automated blue light hazard risk group classification, including finding the most severe spot and viewing direction.
🎦 It enables studying luminance transitions on fixture surfaces, thus opening new ways of quantifying glare.
🎦 It captures photos and video throughout your IES/LDT measurement.
🎦 It automatically determines the size of the luminous surface.
🎦 It outputs BLH risk group, videos (normal, false color, and logarithmic), and raw HDR images at up to 12.3 MP.
🎦 Real-time viewing in Light Inspector software.
LightCam works closely with the calibrated spectrometer sensor to map luminance/radiance in the same directions as a normal goniometer measurement. This process happens simultaneously, adding no extra time.Available for sale in August 2026.
Come see it in Light+Building – Hall 8 – Booth G69.
